RAWALPINDI: Police have registered an unusual report against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for provoking people against the Pakistan Army and creating hatred against the armed forces.
It is not a FIR but is a report that is registered in the police diary, known as roznamcha.
The one-page report was lodged by Advocate Ishtiaq Ahmed Mirza, chairman of the I.M. Pakistan, a political party which he claimed was registered with the Election Commission of Pakistan.
Ahmed in his complaint said he was sitting at his office at the district courts when he received a WhatsApp clip of Nawaz Sharif, who was allegedly provoking people and creating hatred against the armed forces.
The complainant prayed for the registration of a case against the prime minister.
Following the complaint, the Civil Lines police registered a report # 4, dated May 3, 2017.
