KARACHI: Two children of family died after consuming unhygienic food at a local restaurant in Zamzama area of Karachi.
According to the SSP South Peer Muhammad Shah, a woman and her two children had eaten unhygienic food and the family latter bought candies from a stall at a children’s playland in Defence Phase four area.
The three fell ill early morning of Sunday and were rushed to hospital at around 12 noon in very critical condition, where children expired. The mother is still under treatment but out of danger.
Responding to the incident, the police claimed to seal both the restaurant and the playland from where the two children purchased the candies. The investigation into the incident is underway.
The police have sent the food samples from the restaurant have been sent to the food authority for testing.
Meanwhile, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and Sindh IG had taken notice of the incident and summoned the report of the incident.
